First let me thank you for this course, because it is much needed to us who conduct a lot of training. However, I do not believe the value of the course exceeded the resulting benefit of this course. The flyer stated the class was for people who have never used power point to the more experienced users; I feel this was not a true statement. It may be because the instructor is so knowledgeable of the subject and has taught it so many times, he has become complacent and unaware of the fact he is teaching at a pace far too fast for the beginner, who is unable to comprehend the foreign material so quickly. Now the instructor would ask if everyone understood the point, but being frustrated with the fast pace and not wanting to continually hold up a class of experienced users when the class is only two (2) days long, I just kept quiet. This class is way too short for the material covered. It needs to be a week-long so that there is more time to assist the inexperienced users. He showed us a lot of great stuff as he quickly demonstrated it on the screen, but it was way too fast for a beginner to grasp, so the time he gave us to work on it, did me no good. The instructor knew I was struggling to remember all the steps, however I would have to continually ask for help, when sometimes he was sitting in the back looking at his phone. I just felt uncomfortable. I felt as if I was bothering him when I asked for assistance. I resided in the fact I would have to just study the handout, which I received after I had taken a lot of notes, while trying to look at the screen and watch his demo all at the same time. I was not familiar with the area being from an out of state agency and had gotten lost; therefore I was about seven minutes late and not handed a handout upon entry into the room. It wasn't until I told him it would be so beneficial to have his instructions printed out, that he asked me if I had gotten a handout. So I lost out on a lot of visual instruction while taking notes. I am not saying the instructor was totally ineffectual, because he wasn't. I just got the impression he had other things on his mind, or would rather teach experienced users who can keep up with his fast pace of instruction. Again, it is way too much information in too short a time for beginners, which was disappointing for the amount of money my sheriff spent for a two (2) day class. I will only be able to use what I learned through this course after I study the handout.

This was the first formal training I have received in Power Point, and I can affirm it has opened my eyes to a number of ways to use what I learned in a training and/or presentation environment.

Good material to cover. I think this should have been a 3 day course. The 1st day should be basic information- this is slide, this is how you add a slide, this is how you change the fonts- basic information. The second and third days should be focused more on the advanced material like-animations and creating splash screens.

This was honestly an excellent class. I've always had difficulty with PowerPoint. He explained everything so well that even I knew what was going on. I feel he could have gone on for a few more days with how much there is available on PowerPoint. He definitely hit the high points and provided me with tools I did not know existed. In the way that he taught and making me understand that everything is an object it will be easier for me to experiment on new things. I glad that I finally got to attend this course.
