I would love to have a handout of different pages on social media that are good examples to follow, or a handout of screenshots of different types of content. For instance, I followed Allen Park Police Department because that is where the instructor worked and they have great content. Or maybe the social media pages of the participants in the class so we can refer to their pages while talking with each other in the class. Overall loved this webinar.

I appreciated the class and the presentation material. The presenter was enthusiastic and experienced. Despite the difficulties of an online presentation the class was very helpful and insightful. There was a good emphasis on social media aspects of LEO presence. Lots of good examples of the good and bad, with answers on dealing the issues related.

I am very concerned about the material taught in the course. It contradicted what was in the social media class offered by your agency as well. Specifically about hiding comments on social media. The instructor showed the class how to filter comments so that Facebook would hide negative ones. I lost interest at that point. Also, the class didn't hit the advertised agenda items, and the instructor spent most of the time showing random Facebook posts.

I really enjoyed the interaction between the attendees and the instructor. It was awesome that Jim looked at all police social media accounts to give feedback.

Pretty good course. We were doing the "Cop on a block" back in the early 90's, and stopped after the 2008 recession due to staffing. We called it something different, but need to start it back up.

Jim was knowledgeable of the subject, but I felt he could have been a little more professional. And I think his tactics on SM will not work for everyone. When he spoke of some of the people that took over the SM in his department, he was a little harsh and should not speak that way about others. He can state the facts but keep some of his harsh opinions private. I am new to my SM/PIO position, and I did get some good nuggets of information from Jim.
