Some of my ratings are just due to the fact that this was a webinar rather than in person. That's nothing the instructor could change. Perhaps this is the new normal that I have to get used to. That being said, for me it would have been better to be able to see the instructor during the webinar. Even if she was just a small image in the corner. I like to watch the person instructing. Just listening and staring at a screen that didn't change for minutes at a time was hard. It seemed I lost interest. Also, I feel like this webinar should have been advertised as a beginners coarse. For those agencies that have been doing social media for many years this was too remedial. However, if I would have taken this class when our agency first started using social media I would have found this course very useful. The one part of this training that was super useful to me was the different forums to find images. I never knew about Canva, Blur, Pexels and Creative Commons. I will be using those moving forward.

Thank you very much for the presentation, it was very interesting. The presentation went well, despite it being online. I would say that the only downside is the fact that we could not interact effectively in the "chat". For example, it was not possible to interact with the other participants.

The technical issues were a bit distracting. It's likely more of a GoToWebinar issue than that of the instructor. I would like an intermediate/advanced social media for law enforcement course. The course could cover analytics, content creation, growing your following and the additional social media features that exist (e.g., Spaces on Twitter, TikTok, stories, reels, etc.)

This was a virtual class so there were some technical difficulties. I've used other platforms that worked better so I thought Police Technical could use something that works better for a class we are paying for. This probably wouldn't be an issues in person. Instructor knew topic and was pleasant and interacted as much as she could considering the technical difficulty.

The course had useful information and the presenter was very knowledgeable on the topic. I appreciated the walkthrough of Facebook analytics and creator. I have seen those tools on Facebook, but have not known how to utilize them. I feel more comfortable using those resources now. The exercises were practical and got us thinking about how to craft media posts and how media posts may be more suited for specific social media platforms. In the future, I think this class would benefit from a longer class where participants can log into their social media platforms and create draft posts, and following along with the instructor on their own accounts.

Class description does not seem to describe the materials well. This would be better fit for more introductory or first time PIOs with social media.

This class could have been a single half day. I was shocked when we were given a lunch break on a class of this length. Overall, Sara was a great instructor but the content was very elementary. If content was to be added to this course I would suggest covering how departments can use social media for other things, such as recruitment. Or, dive deeper into the concept of a social media team (and whats the policy look like on that). Maybe more ideas on generating social media content, along the lines of "Warrant Wednesday", but what else are departments doing out there (Elf on a Shelf?).
