I would have benefited from more tips about how to use social media from an investigative standpoint, but I realized that was not what the course was really about, to late.

it wouldve been better to split the forensic part of the class up from the how to leverage social media part. We had people from both displines in the class, and when one group was targeted by the material, the other group was disengaged. But I learned a lot in any event.

Excellent class, Doug Nolte is passionate about the topics which make it engaging. We learned a lot in a short amount of time but it was taught very well so it did not feel overwhelming. I will definitely be using tools and skills I learned.

2nd day a little bit overwhelming of information. Seems a lot of us had concerns on record retention, and how to handle difficult posts, etc. I don't recall us talking about retention requirements for our state so may be good to know for future reference and review more thoroughly how to preserve those posts, etc. Otherwise, fantastic class, and I learned a ton on social media that I didn't know existed. Much appreciated and fantastic speaker.

This evaluation is difficult to write. Doug was a nice guy and did what he could to help. He didn't seem very prepared for class and had several computer issues as well as login and password issues for his own equipment. The inability to have his own social media accounts working properly hurt his credibility somewhat. On top of that, he was not feeling well and I am sure that his health was a distraction to his focus and concentration while trying to instruct a class of 20 people. I was looking forward to gaining a lot of knowledge and insight from this class and I think with the health and technology issues expressed, that I came away knowing only a slight bit more than I had going in to the class. Doug had to cut the class short on Tuesday based on health reasons as well so I am sure that some info was left off the table.
