I really did enjoy the course. I may not be able to immediately use everything learned in my daily work because our unit isn't intelligence-based, but should things change, I can apply more of the information. The mafia game was exciting and fun, but it felt that more information was needed in the beginning to explain the point of the game.

The instructor of the course was great. She kept people engaged and knew her subject matter. For me, I learned a lot of the material in college or through other trainings. I felt I didn't learn anything new, but it is always positive to receive refreshers and to take a step back and look at the big picture. I would recommend Nicole as an instructor.

Loved the red team exercises. Critical thinking is a dry topic having the exercises allowed us to apply the concepts.

I already do use it since it was topics designed for my job. The only thing I didn't like was saying no test and then pop quiz. I wanted to do well but I wasn't taking notes and preparing myself. I do not think this was a fair thing to do and I understand it didn't matter but it was upsetting to me.
No fault of yours but it was the GBI's - we were too packed in. It made it difficult to interact and collaborate. I didn't like being without my computer and not having any plugins.

Critical Thinking is a good course. Highly recommended for everyone in LE, especially any sort of Analyst. Facilitator was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She kept the everyone engaged and the instruction tempo moving. Breakout groups were great and her exercise on Red Team was very fun, practical, and highly informative.

Nicole did a great job of presenting a topic that could be viewed as dull and boring. She made the topics interesting and kept the class engaged through exercises and participation. She knew the subject matter and was able to use real world examples from her experience to get the class thinking. She also called on people in the class to add their experiences which led to class discussions and continue learning. She included breaks throughout the 2 days which kept the class rolling smoothly rather than just doing 8 straight hours of classwork. The breaks also aided in networking and I feel that everyone was able to network and learn more about the other students in the class.

Nicole is a wonderful instructor - she is engaged and dynamic with a lot of energy. She knows her topic and presents it well. The class seemed to enjoy the exercises - they most definitely participated and got excited about figuring them out and working with their classmates.

Individual was not as professional as I would expect from the agency. She was partying with the class at a bar after hours which was unbecoming of a professional in this field. Otherwise, during the class, she went very fast, quick to get off topic, and acted spazzy for a lack of a better term. The information presented was good, and the practical application was also good, but my lack of respect for the instructor did my a disservice for this class.

I found this class to be very informative being a newer analyst. I learned a lot of new terms in the field.
I do wish that there had been more speakers that spoke from experiences with different cases. I would love to hear how different agencies used analysis to solve the cases. Not just "this is how to think" but actual cases and real life scenarios. I learn from examples etc. verses just vocab words and definitions.

I loved the instructor Nicole, she is very energetic and she knows how to engage with everyone. This was a great opportunity to learn different aspects of critical thinking and we use it in every day life.

I appreciated the instructor's enthusiasm. I didn't like how she kept using acronyms that not everyone might be familiar with. It was a fun class, and I think it's great material for new analysts.

The only thing I would change is the use of acronyms without explaining them first. The student audience is very diverse both in job and agency, and will have varying definitions of the terms.
