The instructor is very knowledgeable in Excel there is no doubt. But when he was on a subject he would go sidebar a lot and I got either lost or confused.

Good course to attend, even if your a beginner. Learned lots of short cuts and knowledge to successfully navigate Excel.

I really enjoyed having Joseph Brown as an instructor. His depth of knowledge on Excel is ridiculously impressive. It was a bit challenging to have all different levels of experience in the class as some of us were brand new and could have used a slower pace, while others wanted more in-depth. I think it would be beneficial to have a beginner and intermediate course in the future.

Good Class! My only issue was the amount of information provided could easily fill a week.

I've already recommended this instructor to others. The class was too far below my experience level, but that's not the instructor's fault and he was still a very good instructor.

This isn't really a course for beginners. You really do need an understanding of basic formulas and the formulas for this course going in so you can keep up with the instruction and examples. I heard from several people that they came away knowing that something is possible for what they are looking for but how to start and figure it out was another thing.

My only major criticism would be the wasted time at the beginning of the first day. Almost 2 hours was spent doing introductions and discussions which really did not add any value to the class. That time could be better spent doing a review of Excel and how to navigate it, before jumping into formulas and functions.

The visual was a bit difficult to see, but I think that was more of the agency's projector than the instructor.

I believe that this course does require a minimal amount of knowledge about Excel and would not be good for a true beginner. The instructor was very knowledgeable.
