This training helped me understand the beginning phases of cell phone Investigations. I learned helpful websites to help with phone tower and ping locations.

The training was alright... I was able to glean a few things from it. I was really disappointed there were no hands-on exercises in the class. The instructor had us bring in laptops for Day Two and teased that we would be downloading data from Google, and using Excel and Google Earth to work with the data but this never happened. Instead, we spent two days with him talking to us from the front of the class. The instructor was good. He knows the subject, he had good stories relevant to the topics, and he engaged with the class. Though, he may have engaged a bit too much... he constantly asked for audience input and we would get stuck frequently when people answered questions incorrectly. Usually this isn't a problem, but it happened so often that we ran out of time and didn't get to cover a few of the topics, and didn't get to any of the hand-on exercises. We also spent a lot of time covering some very basic computer and networking concepts. I wish we could have spent less time here, and more time on the useful parts of the class.
