This was by far one of the best training classes I have received in 15 years. I have always said that I wish teachers would actually allow students to do hands activities instead of just telling us what "can" be done and this is one of the first times I have been able to experience this in a classroom setting. I learned more in the two days in this class than in most 40 hour classes. I would highly recommend this class to anyone that is working with cellular telephone records.

Well organized and overall great presentation. The only thing I would suggest is to notify that the students not only need a laptop but also internet access with that laptop.

Mr. Englefield was an awesome instructor. It a lot of material to learn in two days. I wish the class can be longer. He kept the class attention. He learned everyone's name the first day. I would recommend him to my agency and other agencies.

This comment is not necessarily a reflection of the instructor's delivery. I would have gotten more out of this class if I wasn't trying to keep up with how to manage spreadsheets. The Excel class should be a prereq. Fortunately, the booklet has very detailed instruction and I can learn a lot of the material from that. We were also instructed to download several apps/programs for data analysis. One of them required a lot of time and tech support to get it working. We didn't really cover how to use the apps. Again, the material is in the booklet. Overall, I enjoyed the instructor's style of teaching. He was very patient and willing to spend extra time to get me through some of the Excel confusion.

This was a outstanding course very useful.

The only critical comment I heard from other students about this course is that the emphasis on pivot tables to work with the data was misplaced because the use of Pen-Link makes it unnecessary. Though there is some truth to that, and while we are fortunate to be able to use Pen-Link, it is very helpful to use other resources as well to help us understand the concepts, rather relying exclusively on a sophisticated and expensive software system that represents a black box. Knowing the concepts can help increase our confidence in court, and can serve us well when Pen-Link is unavailable or when we are transitioning but not yet proficient on its successor, PLX. I have had instruction on pivot tables several times, and after this class I felt more confident than ever before that I could use them appropriately.
