Mike Tosti provided many creative ways to utilize Craigslist in criminal investigations. He was very patient with those of us who were less tech savvy than others and made sure everyone understood the process and had completed the hands-on steps before moving on to the next step in the course/scenario. I would recommend this course for anyone looking to expand their investigative tool kit.

The course was great. I learned a lot. I always knew Craigslist was used by the criminal world but I never knew to what extent. Mike taught us how to locate "red flags" that may indicate criminal behavior. He taught us how to search CL and provided very useful websites that will save a lot of time (websites that search all of CL at the state or national level). He provided a lot of resources that anybody in LE can use even if just trying to learn the lingo or the new trends. He made the class fun and interactive. I really enjoyed the hands on training. I'm not fond of classes that just lecture so I really enjoyed the face that we set up our own "stings". I like that he tried to tailor the class to our specific job duties. He didn't talk down or in manner which made him seem as if he thought he was better than any of us merely because he was the instructor. He tried and was successful in engaging all the people who attended which isn't always easy. I would definitely recommend this class to my coworkers. The only "downfall" of the course is that WSIN has a static IP address which made Craigslist reject some of our posting for the hands on training portion. There were some minor technical issues with WSIN's projector. These two criticisms were minor and nothing that would make me say "I'm never taking a class if it's at WSIN again."
